At a press briefing of journalists in Kwara state, journalists are briefed about a recurring epidemic which the state has once again had to swiftly tackle with all hands on deck. Its about the recent Yellow fever, Lassa fever, and Polio virus outbreak amongst whose latest victim was a 3 year old girl in Baruteen, Kwara state, Nigeria.

In this edition of Growing up, I explore why this remains a recurring issue in Nigeria, and the importance of vaccines in ending this epidemics once and for all.
